As we reflect on the first half of 2024, CARO has made significant strides towards our mission of empowering youth and fostering democracy. Our dedicated team and volunteers have been instrumental in driving our initiatives forward. I am proud of what we have achieved and excited for the future.

Overview
CARO (Care for Assets Resources & Obligations) is an international non-profit dedicated to fostering democracy and development worldwide.

Founded in December 2023, CARO has consistently worked towards promoting democratic values and empowering communities.

January 2024
Initial Vision Development:
- The founding members, including Khaled and Arafat, started working on the vision to empower youths.
February 2024
Organizational Structure Development:
- The founding members worked on developing the structure for the organization.
March 2024
Internship Program Launch:
Based on the newly developed structure, three interns were joined to support CARO's projects.
April 2024
Team Expansion:
- Two additional interns were recruited.
Key Event:
- Seminar titled "People Matter, We Matter, Our Opinion Matters, Democracy Matters" in Chattogram and launch of the CARO website.

Volunteer Empowerment Program (VEP) 1.0:
- Recruitment drive attracted 193 applicants; 29 volunteers were selected.

- Recruitment drive received 123 applications; 27 volunteers were selected.

CARO focuses on empowering youth, promoting democratic values and driving sustainable development. Our programs are designed to engage individuals in meaningful ways, fostering leadership and community involvement.

9. Training and Development
CARO is dedicated to empowering its volunteers through comprehensive training and development programs. Out of 316 applicants, approximately 70 volunteers were selected and provided with a robust set of training opportunities to prepare them for their roles.
Empowerment Strategies
Our volunteers are empowered through two primary avenues:
1. Virtual Office Work: Engaging volunteers in official tasks remotely to provide hands-on, practical experience in a professional setting.
2. Weekly Learning Sessions: Conducting enriching weekly sessions focused on professional development to enhance their skills and empower their personal growth.
Soft Skills Training
CARO offers an array of soft skills training to equip our volunteers with essential professional competencies:
Effective Communication Skills: Mastering clear and effective communication.
Corporate Etiquette: Learning professional behavior and workplace manners.
Storytelling: Developing the ability to convey messages powerfully and persuasively.
Robert Greene's "The 48 Laws of Power": Understanding strategic thinking and leadership principles.
Internal Campaigns for Volunteer Development
To further nurture volunteer growth, CARO has designed several innovative internal campaigns:
Presentation and Self-Expression: Enhancing presentation skills and confidence in self-expression, boosting their networking abilities.
Storytelling Campaign: Encouraging volunteers to share their stories, helping them overcome shyness and express themselves effectively on social media.
By combining virtual office work, engaging learning sessions and focused training and campaigns, CARO ensures that volunteers gain valuable practical experience and develop essential professional skills, empowering them to become well-rounded and impactful individuals.

With a focus on inclusivity, progress, and democratic ideals, the seminar aimed to foster a vibrant exchange of ideas and inspire action for positive change.

The '53 Years of Independence - Expectations and Achievements' campaign aimed to engage Bangladeshi youth in reflecting on the nation's progress since independence and envisioning its future trajectory. By fostering discussions and creative expression, the campaign sought to bridge the gap between past achievements and future aspirations, ultimately contributing to the nation's development.
To provide a platform for youth to express their perspectives on Bangladesh's achievements and challenges.

Total Participants: Written Competition – 40, Video Content Competition – 30, Total 70 Contestants.
Participating Districts: Dhaka, Narayanganj, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Chandpur, Feni, Barisal, Khulna, Jhalkati, Sirajganj, Bajshahi, Comilla, Dinajpur, Jessore, Patuakhali, Pabna, Gopalganj, Faridpur, Bagherhat, Brakshanbaria, etc. Participating from 40 districts.
Participating Divisions: Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Rangpur, Sylhet, Mymensingh participated from all divisions.
Educational Institutions: Dhaka University, Jahangir Nagar University, Chittagong University, Jagannath University, Chittagong Medical College, Jhalkati College, Bangabandhu Science and Technology University, and other schools, colleges, and reputed private universities participated.
